Hello all!  I am excited to be your child’s first-grade teacher. I look forward to making this their best year yet!

This year will be my 8th year teaching first grade. I LOVE IT! There is no better feeling than knowing that I have inspired a child to become a life-long learner. I spent 7 years of my teaching career within a 1st grade classroom. Before transitioning to Teasley, I taught 3rd grade for one year.  I’m excited about being a part of #TeamTeasley and teaching your first grade babies this school year.

In May of 2009, I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Education from Albany State University located in Albany, Georgia. I received a Master of Education in Early Childhood Education from Mercer University in 2014. I plan on continuing my education soon, because I believe that you can always learn something new!

I am passionate about creating hands-on, engaging, and creative activities for the classroom. I believe that learning should be full of content, meaning, & rigor yet creative and FUN at the same time.  Yes, learning can (and should) be fun!!!  I love creating learning opportunities that allow my students to enrich their understanding & create memorable experiences that establish meaningful connections across the curriculum.

When I’m not planning and teaching, I’m busy being a new wife to my loving husband. We are still in the newlywed stage. I love seeing the world and making new memories with him on my free time. I, also, adore the moments that I can spend with my close family and friends. I love dancing, laughing, volunteering, making others smile, singing, traveling, playing games, and watching college football! Roll Tide!

Over the summer, we adopted a sweet Boxer/Shepherd pup. He sometimes responds to the name Levi. We are new parents and are loving it!

I truly look forward to working with each of you this school year! I’m excited about helping your child master the necessary skills to be successful in their academic career and beyond!
